Ambassador Profile Truper McBride
Truper McBride has been an advocate for the Cochrane Sustainability Plan (CSP) since its earliest days. The newly re-elected Mayor of The Town of Cochrane helped lead the charge in developing the CSP, and remains involved to this day as a Sustainability Ambassador.
I live in East Cochrane with my wife Jennifer and our two young boys Sam and Ben. I served on Council for nine years, with the last three as Mayor.
How long you have lived in Cochrane:
15 years
What actions do you currently take to do your part towards achieving the targets in the Cochrane Sustainability Plan?
- I walk to the RancheHouse to work everyday leaving the car at home
- I am working to implement regional and local transit
- I use a push mower to cut the lawn instead of a gas lawnmower
Why should residents get involved in making the CSP a reality?
The CSP represents what the people of Cochrane have told us overwhelmingly they want our Town to be in 50 years. In order for us to make the CSP vision a reality and to meet the targets in the Plan, everyone needs to lend a hand and declare action.
